Smritika is built for one of the most private things a family has: a parent's voice. So the promise is simple.

What stays on your phone

Every recording, photo, written story and book stays on your device. We do not upload them, we cannot listen to them, and we never see them.

Speech to text

Smritika turns speech into words using your phone's own speech recognition.

Backups

When you back up, you choose where the copy goes: your Files, your iCloud Drive, AirDrop, or a family member. We are not part of that journey.

What we receive

Only if you use Request your language: the language you asked for and the app version. Nothing else. If you choose to add your email, we use it only to tell you when your language arrives, and we delete it on request.

Payments

Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not see your card or your Apple ID details.

What we never do

No ads. No tracking. No selling or sharing of data. No accounts.

Children

Smritika is made for adults recording their families. Families may record stories with grandchildren present; those recordings stay on the family's own phone.

Deleting

Delete a story, a narrator or the app, and it is gone from your phone. Deleted stories wait 30 days in Trash so a mistake can be undone, then disappear.
