Security at Smritika

A parent's voice is precious. Here is plainly how we protect it.

Your stories stay on your phone

Recordings, photos, written words and books are stored inside Smritika on your device. There is no Smritika account and no Smritika server holding your stories.

Speech to text happens on your phone

Smritika uses your phone's own speech recognition.

Your phone's protection protects Smritika

Your stories are covered by your iPhone's passcode and built-in encryption. We recommend a strong passcode and keeping your phone updated.

Backups are your choice

When you back up, you choose where the copy goes: Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop or a family member. We are never part of that journey.

What reaches us

Only one thing, and only if you choose it: when you use Request your language, we receive the language name and the app version, and your email only if you type it. This travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Payments

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card or Apple ID details.
